lot of problems with the aaone under lenny. In fact, lenny works
rather well on this system and at least some of your major problems
have to do with the newer X rather than with the aaone. In

I gave a longish account of how I got lenny running with the aaone.
I would be grateful if you could tell me whether the internal mic
works with 2.6.28. That would be a good reason for me to test out
that kernel.
Hmmm. I state that installing Lenny went well, and I mention that I'm running experimental and very experimental software. What do you expect? A click-through agreement that you'll read carefully? ;-)
